A standard Line of Survey is 25 m and contains 15 measurement points.
A Full Grid consists of three parallel survey lines, spaced 1 m apart.
Where the terrain or investigation calls for a different arrangement, lines may be extended up to 50 m (30 points) or configured differently to best investigate the target.
The length, number and arrangement of survey lines will depend on the service selected and what we learn on site.

A focused first investigation to identify a promising target for further assessment.

Assessment — $1,695 + travel
Approx. 4-hour site visit • 3 survey lines (45 points)
Designed for a site where a potential target is already known. We assess the target, look for supporting evidence, and provide our recommendation.

Exploration — $2,250 + travel
Approx. 6-hour site visit • 4 × 25 m survey lines, or up to 60 survey points arranged to suit the site
Our most comprehensive investigation. We identify the most promising target, assess it from multiple survey positions, look for repeatable supporting evidence, and recommend the best-supported location and depth range for drilling.
Includes: Concept Art, Detailed Report and Executive Summary.
You don't need to know exactly where we will survey before we arrive — finding the right place to investigate is part of the process.
It is helpful if the property has:
Areas of reasonably level ground where survey lines can be established
Truck access reasonably close to the investigation area
Vegetation that can be mowed or lightly cleared if needed once a survey location is identified
Safe access for walking and carrying field equipment
Please let us know about any known wells, water lines, septic systems, underground utilities or other buried infrastructure.
Electrical resistivity surveying is conducted in dry weather, and fieldwork may be rescheduled if rain or ground conditions are unsuitable.
Our field survey is low-impact, but it does require that we make a small, 1/2" hole about 8" deep to establish good ground contact for the instrument. Survey points will be marked with water-based marking paint so measurements can be accurately referenced during the investigation. When a groundwater target is identified and subsequently verified through the investigation, the recommended location will be clearly marked on the ground for the drilling contractor.
The markings are temporary and will fade with weather and time.

You don't need to stay with us for the entire investigation. We generally need about 30–60 minutes with you at the beginning to discuss the property, water history and any observations that may help guide the investigation. We take it from there.
Travel is calculated at $0.69/km round trip.
